Every phrase has an image associated with it. The image, along with the caption at the bottom, is designed to help you memorize the phrase.

Each phrase works this way: it will display the image for a few seconds, then the teacher will speak in both languages, then the image will appear again so you can review the phrase. If you don't do anything for a few seconds after the image was displayed, a menu bar will pop up at the bottom so you can choose to 1) return to home screen, 2) go to previous lesson, 3) go to next lesson, 4) see additional detail, or 5) email the lesson. Or, you can remain inactive, the application will auto-play.

Watch and Learn

Sample image

Nothing is better than watching a friendly and animated native speaker speaking directly to you. You can listen, read his/her lips, watch the expressions, look at the caption, all at the same time. All your senses will help you memorize the phrase quickly. Most important, you will gain confidence knowing that it is exactly how a native speaker will say things. Your personal teacher will say it in English, then in Italian. Short and sweet. You can interrupt the video by simply tapping at the screen.
